I like to use the Muscovy calculator to determine who I breed with who. I like to keep a somewhat rainbow flock. Really want a new pair of Lavender ones but can't seem to find anyone near me with them! -Don't want to pay for shipping so I guess I'll have to hold my breathe and hope someone near me comes along with some!-

Im knida surprised. I thought my boys carried some hidden colors because my other girls had every color, but lavender pretty much last hatch. Waiting for Venus to show up with babies. She had the barred blue, brown, black. Hoping this time I dont loose them to raccoons!

Aren't they precious no matter the color. :love

How do you take their eggs once they decide they want to set? I tried that, taking one away after Coco had gotten 4 or 5 in the nest ("she'll never notice," I thought). She immediately went into hiding under the barn and a month later--presto!--she had 16 babies!

Like you, I had some go into hiding. I've got babies everywhere. It breaks my heart to take up their eggs and it scares me they will go outside of the protected perimeter but I have got to do it. I try to go in when they are off their nest to eat and bathe. Good luck to you:)
