Muscovy keepers share your pics!

My drake also had frost bite but worse than Hope and although he has scaring his has never opened I think the skin is thinner now and she shoved her face on the hard ware cloth when she wanted out although at that time I didn't even notice it open so that may have nothing to do with it.
I am trying the Manuka honey this is 2nd night, I'll give it a few more days then try Blue Kote.

Have you tried Vetrx on it? I've never encountered frostbite on any of my muscovies before, I live right by Lake Michigan. But there was one time where my neighbors cat attacked one of my females and broke the caruncle nob on the bill where your's has the opening. I used Vetrx mixed with the proper warm water as a spray and sprayed it 3 times a day for 5 days and it was healed up by the 7th day. You couldn't even tell she lost a caruncle there either. Soon after about a month, she grew a new one in the same spot. Also Kwik Stop Styptic Powder might come in handy iif you chose to cut it off.
Hope this helps!
Another thing, if you choose to cut it off you can use the Styptic powder to stop the bleeding and then close it off with Vetbond Tissue Adhesive for Animal Use.

Thought you all would love this one. One of the muscovies I hatched this year is now almost fully feathered in. As a result, I've renamed this duck Eyebrows. My husband calls it Groucho. Yes, it's symmetrical on both sides. :lau

Yep! I'm pretty sure it's actually a "she." Her brother from thesame clutch is the size of my full grown hens while she's still small.

These are my ducks in our backyard. Please excuse the lawn.... We have been suffering from drought for the last year or two. I converted our swimming pool into a pond so that we didn't have to backwash it. So slowly but surely turning it into an eco pool. Just need to keep adding plants. And yes that is a pit bull terrier, pit bull and lab with the ducks. They have never seen ducks before and didn't even flinch when I got them. I foster lots of different types of animals and my dogs accept everybody. The ducks go peck at the dogs when they lie in the sun and the dogs love it. They adore the ducks. The kiddies splash pool in the background of the first pic is more for the dogs than the ducks.... they drink alot of water! :-D
