goes by way to fast.
Quackers that lil one is 9 weeks old now. she is in the bottom pic in front. They do grow so fast though. Guess they have to, to survive cause in the wild them babies would be snackie for something.

Any guesses on colour of this little one, my oldest daughter wants to keep it .. um, one month old from the 12/13th July.. these pics were just from this week. It's the only one in this colour actually. The rest are looking like blacks and blues...

Duck in the middle!

Well, lovely bird regardless. I know they have to grow quick, it's just sorta sad.. Junior is HUGE and now the group of 9 is too... happened to quick lol

All 8 of Eliza's eggs are externally pipped!!!

Okay now gma sit on your hands and let the process begin. Don't take the eggs out unless you have to because that can cause the membrane to dry out and duckling can get shrink wrapped. Keep us updated though, maybe tiny peaks ever so often would keep you a little more relaxed

I know what you mean about having to part with the drakes, you got some beauties out of your hatches. Our only drake from this year is such a sweetie, but I know come next year there will be problems. Our last 2 ducklings both were killed one by our gander accident then the next day our dachshund got the other one. I have been heart broken, 9 years with ducks and never lost one to one of our dogs. So senseless.

maybe you'll be able to work it out where you can keep more than you think.
