Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Most of Cypriot people don't involved with these birds because they aren't good informed about waterfowls. All the pultry farms have only chickens.I belive this happen because they didn't know how beautiful,smart and nice pet they can become!Ducks are my favourite kind of birds and i am very proud that I have them.Another serious reason that makes cyprus not has a lot of wildlife is hunting!:/ Cyprus is very beautiful country with a lot of nice places for every kind of animal but unfortunately hunting is one of cypriots favourite hobby.!:/

Happy Day!!!!

I sold my extra boy today, leaving me with my trio of Scovies, and my pair of mixed goobers

He went to a very nice man who asked a MILLION questions about ducks. This is his first ever duck and he's wanted them since he was a kid. He has a speech impediment so no one has ever been patient enough to take the time to educate him about ducks and their care so he didn't want to just get one and not know how to care for it. He now has my number and I told him to call any time if he had any trouble. Quackers is a sweet boy so I doubt he will have any problems with him. I am just so happy he went to a good home and I was able to help him get his first duck

In other news, Apollo has decided that my mothers bird bath (which only has about an inch of water in it at any given point) is HIS new favorite place to hang out. He also dust bathed in the mulch... I wasn't aware ducks dust bathed... I think he spends too much time watching the chickens in their dust holes

I will attempt to get a video next time he does it.

Question.. Once my ducks are mature and I have another pen (so I can separate the Scovies from my littler ones) I would like to do a controlled hatch with some of both groups eggs. I know the average time for chicken eggs to stay fertile after one mating, what is it for ducks?

Hey ML.... so went to the auction Sun. bought a box of "grey ducks" ! You guessed it...........LAVENDERs. WHOOT !! Some people have no clue. Looks like 2 boys one girl but that is ok. My pair hatched 3 babies...so cute. Also grabbed another box of white Muscovys. One is silver, 3 are white with a patch of brown on the head. I will get some pics up here. As soon as I take some

Boys will have to go to the sale. Only keeping the Lav drake & a chocolate drake.

please can some of you help me out with the colors? I'm thinking the greyish ones might be blue? But what to call the white ones, since they have a grey/tan places on them?
