Your welcome, and

now remember breeding and hatching comes with serious responsibility. when and if you let your duck hatch ducklings what do you intend to do with them? keep them as food or pets? sell them ? are you sure there is a market for ducks[Muscovy] in your area and are you okay with some one wanting to buy them for food? I take my duckling hatching seriously, I can't end up with alot of ducklings because of space and Muscovies like to hatch large clutches of ducklings, so I have to be selective in how many my girls can hatch and who gets to go broody and stay broody. And if I end up having to sell any [which is very hard for me] am I okay with doing it and making sure who buys them knows how to care for ducks. Please don't take this as me saying your irresponsible I just think we should have a plan before we start anything especially when it concerns live animals. Alot of domestic waterfowl end up dumped eventually because of spur of the moment buying.

I love my muscovies very much and i keep them as pets! However i leave in Cyprus where,it is very rare to see ducks(domestic or whild) and i am very happy that i managed to find and buy them. Moreover,if one day they will hatch ducklings i am ready to care and keep them as pets!Heh no problem Miss Lydia.I absolutely understand you and i don't take this as you saying me irresponsible.IF ever end up with a lot of ducklings,i am planning to sell them,ONLY to people who knows how to correct care them! Thank you very much for your all help!:))

Not many ducks in Cyprus? why is that?

Most of Cypriot people don't involved with these birds because they aren't good informed about waterfowls. All the pultry farms have only chickens.I belive this happen because they didn't know how beautiful, smart and nice pet they can become!Ducks are my favourite kind of birds and i am very proud that I have them.Another serious reason that makes cyprus not has a lot of wildlife is hunting!:/ Cyprus is very beautiful country with a lot of nice places for every kind of animal but unfortunately hunting is one of cypriots favourite hobby.!:/

There is alot of hunting and hunters in the US too but it is regulated which is a good thing or we probably wouldn't have much wild life let either. I don't have a problem at all with hunting as long as it is done in the right way. Maybe you can be an advocate for ducks with your people, Muscovies are wonderful breed of ducks. You sound like a very responsible person and will be a great caretaker of these ducks. All the best, glad you came to BYC!

Of course.I always talk to my family and friends about the ducks and they start to learn and understand how wonderful bird are ,especially the muscovies.!And again thank you Miss Lydia:))
