? alrighty then lol... i hate the sounds of roosters, some fool had one on this road for a few years it echoed throughout the valley... of coarse i have straight run silkies being brooded as i type so i am gonna join the rooster side... help me.![]()
My dad has 7 silky roosters all they do is crow !! Then he went out and bought RIR straight run no clue how many roosters are in that. But I dont know how he does it, telling him what to do doesnt work - so I just leave him alone. I am surprised noone has complained![]()
I have 2 silkies also they also came as a straight run. They do grow really slow don't they? He has 7 roos thats why they crow like mad I keep telling him its not a good idea to have all 7 of them in the same run-it falls on deafs ears..![]()
yeah, they likely all encourage each other to be louder lol I hope we don't get to many, i am sure if i can handle 'scovie drakes i can handle silkie roos, just hope we don't get to many but as you say slow to grow so it'll be awhile before we know.
ROFL I got my straight run silkies from the pet store I have no clue what I have either .![]()
A pet store? chickens at a pet store? lol how odd, their livestock though? only sold through swaps, auctions etc, farm supplies(most are order in only) and private ads/farms in these parts. I think if it either crows or lays an egg is the determining factorotherwise i have read it can be hard to be sure, even well versed on them have made errors lol guess they like to keep people guessing.![]()
