I posted about a week ago with a duck vs drake question. Here we are now at about 5 weeks old . They are starting to feather out, the yellow one (who will be lavendar I think) a little sooner than the black one, but the pattern seems the same. The yellow one is still a little bigger in general but with smaller feet. Any opinions about gender at this point? Hoping for two ducks!

LOL!.....right now they both look like "ducks" .... girls to me but...I've noticed lately that some at 5 wks are obviously girls or boys(drakes) and I've had a few that I thought were drakes at this age surprise me as they continued to grow out just a bit longer then "stop" and wha-la!!.... they were girls.

I remember the first time i ever saw a muscovy at the local park. I told my sister i would not have one of them ugly things if you tried to give it to me. Now here i am a couple years later with 48 of them. LOL!!! I now think they are the prettiest and best duck to have.Duck math has hit and its hit me hard! (;
Oh and beautiful ducks everyone they are adorable!!

Front view would help, but looks like yellow is duck. both seem to have the football shape but even at 5 weeks they can fool ya, if you have a drake it will really start to be noticeable in the next couple of weeks.

Greenwitch, those pics are sweet! It`s fun watching them clapping there little wings. I still think boy/girl.
