Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Our rouens are quite noisy, and while they tolerate the muscovies, they are their own separate flock of two. Even though we have so many birds, we have at least 4 distinct "flocks" that all stick together. The dog knows which ones go in which houses at the end of the day of foraging. :)

They likely would, i had the rather unusual opportunity when i got my pair of buffs i got a ruined/dog ravaged nest and had to take half of the remaining eggs, so they got buffy friends, they are a flock in of itself.. and do "sorta" blend with the others but i'll be honest my buffs take to putting any other scovie away, they dislike others coming near them, i've actually been taken aback by how territorial and aggressive they are. No fights or anything but definitely makes me re-think adding anything of the mallard variety, unless i could raise them with baby scovies too.

Quackers,

Mine were all raised together. They separated themselves out. I also raised them with geese from babies, and now the geese have become their own flock, with the exception of one toulouse, who thinks she is a harlequin and all four ancona ducks think they are geese. Dunno what's going on in those sweet little bird brains sometimes.

My Emden gander was hatched by a Muscovy duck and for over 6 yrs that's what he lived with I think he thought he was a giant Muscovy, until I got a Toulouse Goose in Aug of 2012 He now knows he is a goose. so I do think they can get mixed up about who they are sometimes.
