She isn't looking at you as her leader she is looking at you as she is the dominant one. Don't try to pet her or pick her up right now, if she tries to bite you lay her out on her belly flat put your hands on her upper and lower body and make her stay laying down till she stops squirming then let her up. your not pushing hard enough to hurt her but your doing like she would do with another female if she was showing dominance. you want her to respect you are her leader not the opposite.daffy has become unbareable everytime i try to feed her or touch her she bites me very hard its become every single time i do anything with her. i dont want to leave her at the park because shes not wild obviously. there are farms nearby that would probably take her but im so afraid they wont treat her the same as we do or they might even eat her. does anyone have any advice of anything i could to do to make her stop biting or a good place to take her? she is a good, sweet duck sometimes though and very trusting of people she just gets crazy sometimes. she also only acts like this with me and sometimes she'll attack our cat the same way.
Please don't take her to the park it will be a death sentence for her since she is so trusting. Go to the rehoming thread here on BYC and post an ad or your state thread in "Where am I Where are you" hopefully someone close to you will be willing to take her. Scovy's are used for meat so if you don't want her eaten stay away from Craig list.
Use the broom to make her stop attacking the dog just push her with it or sweep her away and tell her no. same with you keep her at a distance while you are training her or actually retraining her. Honestly this will work since I raised a hatchling which turned out to be a drake and he turned into a night mare when he reached puberty 5-6months old. I used these methods on him and he is 2.5yrs now and still loves to have us pet him and still thinks he's our puppy.
