Well I'm glad she is able to keep them warm, are you providing extra heat or keeping them inside? Just curious since when so tiny I'd be concerned about mom being able to keep them warm enough but yours look great.

Whereabouts in England? I used to live on the south coast. Doesn´t usually get too cold there.

I live in the Netherlands next to you. My girl is sitting on a big nest too. But i`m gonna harvest all the eggs, because i`m afraid those babies will die due to cold weather.
And ofcourse....BIRTH CONTROL
But my girls live out in the open, so they have a lot of hiding places. For sure i will get some ducklings this year. It`s hard to find good places for ducklings. I don`t want them to get locked up somewhere with only a little bucket to swim in (hope i`m not offending someone...

)

Yes,so, the weather isn´t anything as bad there as some people are getting in the States. Although, there´ve been a few rough winters lately compared to normal,eh?
I used to live in the Bournemouth area before my family moved out here.. And now I have eggs and some ducklings all year!

It´s your view, you´re entitled to it.

We´re trying to cut down the number of hidey-holes for our ducks, and I´ve put a number of enticing nest-boxes around which they´re using, so I collect the eggs every day. However, I leave one in there to encourage them to continue using the same box, and sometimes I find it´s disappeared. i´m sure it´s a lizard that´s stealing them. So I´m trying to get the ducks to lay closer to the house, away from the water. That seems to be working better. And there´s one little duck sat on just one egg where the lizard must walk around, (it´s near to where the others were disappearing), and so far it hasn´t found her.
I have a friend here from the Netherlands, Ronald. He married a Brazilian. He´s so fair, and tall, he towers over most Brazilians. So easy to see him in a crowd! Lovely guy. He finds it rather warm here at times, though!

Haha, yes, we are begging for some warm weather here in the Netherlands. In the summer it can get warm, but always for a short amound of time. And yes, we have tall genes

I`m gonna take a view pics of my girls and see if i can post them today...
