Muscovy keepers share your pics!

How old do my ducklings need to be to get in some water for a swim?

Mama usually takes them into small pan right off but you'll need to be sure to pat them dry and put them under heat to finish drying, and use warm water for playing in, start with it just up to legs where body meets them. Be sure to take pics its so much fun to watch them play.

.....and in the other part of America, in the evening, after the heat of the day...!!!!!!
So not fair,

we have a beautiful Mt. river down below our home but it's too far for me to feel comfortable in letting the ducks go down to it. dh says only 75-100 yrs but woods in between.

A good thing to bear in mind is that the duck´s feathers get all over the ducklings, so she passes on the protection of the oil in her feathers to them.. When there´s no mum duck they don´t get this protection so can get chilled easily. They´ll soon start preening themselves, but you just need to keep an eye on them at first. Mum duck normally takes them down to the water at about 2 days old.
