Ok I have a problem y'all, the female that is in the cage is in heat, but the male won't go near here except for warmth, he is very subordinate but no other males are around, and I got him for a Christmas present because my other male was taken from me from an unknown predator, anyway the new male has been here for 4 months now and he will only mate with my white girls, but where he came from the didn't have any oter white ones except for him, so why won't he mate with my chocolate girls

Do you have a pool in there for them? and how long have they been together in the pen?. How old is this drake? Here if one of the girls gets in the water a drake is usually right behind her unless she manages to sneak in with out one seeing her, But mine don't even have to have water, they are so hormonal right now.[just makes it nicer for the duck]

He's like three and the female is one of my young one so she's still 8 months but then again the ones tht had the babies are also 8 months , but te white girls are also 8 months tht he mates with, and they really don't care to use water to mate.

They don't need water for mating but I do think the girls prefer it to dry ground. Maybe he just needs a bit more time to warm up to this duck. How long have you had them penned together?

Like he is really shy , she will go near him and try preen each other but thy don't mate, they mated once since tey been in but I don't think he penetrated her , and the next day they didn't mate at all, she did lay an egg that wa really infertile, it was all round almost like a ball , but she laid in goose egs that some geese laid in the nest, I moved them but I think height have got the intention that she has eggs, so I moved everything , can that still be a reason though y thy aren't mating?

All I y'all adults on here are lucky , y'all don't have to put up with English class right after running in football
Nope that we don't.

Other than just trying to be patient and let nature take it's course. you know for a fact your drake is healthy. Then I'd say time is what they need.

Also since the time I got him he's had a really bad eye problem where he would have this white foam come from his eye it's gotten better by a lot but i don't know wha it's from
Usually that just means they need to wash their faces more, they have to be able to wash out their eyes and nares or they can get infections. I keep a product called Veterycin spray [TSC}carries it and if I see any kind of problem with eyes I can spray this directly into their eyes it's very safe. You can also use ACV 1 Tablespoon to 1 gallon of water for drinking and head washing.
