When is hatch day Buck?Kk I won't worry God had it in his hands and they know when to hatch , I'm sorry I do this with every hatch I get really nervous
Mine have never ditched the nest once they have committed but it's up to you. I don't put food and water inside so they will come out and have some time outside doing their thing. I put food and water in once ducklings hatch, and I surely don't want broody poop inside the nest.well the food and water is just a few steps away. Not far at all! Hoeever taking them off the nest, wouldnt that cause more issues as her ditching the nest?

Should I open the coop for now? Do you think that would make her want to get up more? The other ducks can get to her and the nest though.
My broody's always have access to outside up until hatch day then they are separated from everyone else by temp fencing. I really don't think any of the other ducks will mess with her nest of eggs except to look at them, she isn't going to tolerate anyone getting to close. Even the drakes are respectful of her all except my youngest who is just going on a year old I have to watch him he'll just any jump of the girls he doesn't care. I usually hear when she comes outside and go out to make sure he leaves her alone,[she is sitting on a fake ceramic goose egg] but she doesn't know that. lolShould I open the coop for now? No like 12 days till hatch I count down days not up
