I think he got his own fluff and tore it out,my babies this year and last year have started feather eatin it was more common in the babies that the parents also did it these babies aren't even related to those other babies except the dad and the dad didn't eat feathers as a baby, don't know why they are ! Maybe it's the temp or the light intensity in the brooder so I'm airing it out

Got one. Duckie taking a bath in her little pool the other day.

She took 2 days off laying, but I found a new egg this morning. I dont let her roam unattended due to neighbor dogs, so I know she hasnt hid any. I built her little house, and found it funny that she doesnt poop in it since she began laying?! but boy does she ever poop when she comes out! her house is 16 Sq ft, just big enough for her nest box and food and water dishes, and for her to walk around between everything. I had to make it small enough to be portable for now. When I find her friend, I will build a nest box off of the back of it so I can take the temporary box out of the inside. next year will probably build a bigger house so we can have more ducks.
