Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Yes we have Wild Muscovies, they do have a dark face with only a little red. When I saw your pics keeperof the hearth--- I am thinking your muscovies have some recent wild muscovy genetics bred into the line.

You can see the drake we started with on pg#1. Over the course of the year we had him his caruncles grew a bit heavier but not much reder. Most of his sons seem to developed the black w/red caruncles so I suspect a sexlinked gene there since his daughters don't.

Schaman, that silver pied girl is just stunning. Very pretty blue hen in the 5th pic also and

That last picture reminds me of a convo I had the other day with a "friend" who likes to make me mad by stating loudly that I look up duck porn - Not sure why but it makes me laugh everytime they say something like that!

I do not think so. I had a Rouen cross once. She did not fly at all. I had to other crosses once. I am not sure what they were crossed with. They were the most wild thing I ever dealt with. They were really bad. I only saw one of them fly one time. It was not very far or fast. They could really swim too. They would dive really really deep. They were the wildest thing I ever dealt with. They were kind of a pain. I never figured out what sex they were. They both had the strangest voice.

Hi, enjoyed that picture of your sweet scovie I have 10 and they are very sweet. They fly really well so had to clip their wings:( but they can still fly but not as far. Even my big drakes can fly if the can get up where they can get lift. Hope to post pics if I can figure it out. MY one girl even hatched out a emden goose they love to sit and would probably hatch out anything they could sit on. Thanks again for pic.
