Muscovy keepers share your pics!

So a question for all Muscovy keepers. I bought my 3 babies from the same hatch and at this point looks like one is a drake. When they reach sexual maturity should I separate them. I really don't want him to be alone but I also don't want any inbreeding . Would it be better if I sold him or traded him for another drake or different lineage. Opinions please??

wouldn't worry about it, ducks are a bit different with this relative thing, now i wouldn't keep for years breeding relatives but for a bit it's not a biggie. Are you sure they are from the same hatch? only reason i ask is i run a pretty good sized flock and mamas often have an odd baby here and there that i know was NOT their egg, scovies love to 'share' nesting areas lol

For instance this summer my one chocolate duck hatched out a solid white, black capped drakelet.. um, no way lol it's probably the egg of one of two solid white hens i own and based upon the history of whom runs with whom and the look of this baby i would go with a particular duck as she runs with the drake who this baby is the spitting image of..(black capped solid white)

My Muscovy babies are almost 6 weeks and they decided this morning they couldn't wait until I filled the pool before they hopped in for their swim.They are getting so big now but I still can't tell who are the boys and who are the girls.
