Muscovy keepers share your pics!

yes I did and no it wasnt. I have not sprayed it yet.. I put it in the incubator with warm water
Like casport says, it can only make noise once it´s pipped internally. If it´snot pipped it´s always best left alone.
However, now the shell´s open, the membrane can dry and shrink-wrap the duckling, so you need to keep the membrane moist. a little water in there isn´t really enough. Some folks use wet cotton buds to dampen the membrane. If the membrane isn´t damp enough, the duckling can´t move and certainly won´t be able to hatch. Just keep it warm and damp. You could even wrap it in a damp, warm cloth.

I´ll have more ducklings in a couple of days. I could wriggles in some of the eggs today.

why cant you keep him?

when do muscovies start to breed/lay eggs? Ours are 2 months and a half, so I was just wandering how long til we have to worry about babies and stepping on eggs.

I already have a drake and Pip is the son of one of my hens and for lack of a better word, the nephew of my other two. I know line breeding is perfectly okay but I don't want too.
He is being picked on by my hens who are all on nests or have newly hatched babies and he is imprinted on me, as was his father and it turned out very badly with his father.
My girls started laying at just over four months old and my drake knew what to do in regards to mating at about the four month mark. So you still have 6ish weeks to go minimum :)
Some bloom later than that.
