I am just wondering about what happened to the ducks face.

That is no tumor, that is "natural" . As a breeder, you can select for certain traits that you prefer. And obviously, some prefer this massive caruncling... which is a case of animal cruelty if you
ask me.

and her 2 babies all girls Woodstock, Peppermint Patty, and Lucy.

Congrats Frank, isn't that awful that someone would find the attractive. Poor thing hasn't any eyes. It's not the way Muscovys are suppose to look.

I suppose the duck has eyes somwhere under all this growth...but I agree with you, muscovies should not look like that...I wonder whether they can still breed by themselves or need help...

Maybe they get the job done while still young before all that "blossoms" so.


We only have to look at pugs, bulldogs and persian cats to see breeding traits that aren't optimum for the well being of the animal. This is more of the same, obviously.

So true I feel very sorry for any animal that is made to look like that.
