Nothing wrong with yours Buck they are all different usually from 6 months on they can begin to lay.

I thought maybe girl, it's not that big. But 9 months and no egg yet, I was beginning to wonder. Building a duckie house tomorrow, and I'm looking for more muscovies to join us. I can't find any within a reasonable distance

Love to see a pic. and if you can't find Scovy's and I rec rescues too, why not another breed?

Th female mallard is great even though her wounds were severe she is a lot better moving around but still not eating or drinking but she will get better
Buck being she is wild she probably has no idea what that is your offering her to eat, can you get game bird feed? it has seeds in it and she may take to it better and a small pool or tub for her to bath in may get her to drinking.

Got the report on her today, she's very well , she likes my male muscovy she's in the cage with , so far they've been helping each other out like he will keep her warm and she just likes his company , she's eating and swimming in the pool in the cage, after two or so weeks she'll be able to be realeased

Good to hear she is doing good. She may fall in love with your Scovy and not want to leave.

I don't think se can leave I inspected her today and one of er eyes is messed up from the hawk, like to where she can't see, so I might get er pinioned and let her down to the pond so I can just keep her around , the first intention was to let her go but she is so badly injured it has wild living out of the question

Went out with my daughter today and got a pair of Muscovy's. There was about 50 or more in the outside enclosure and with the snow melting they were a gray muddy mess. I thought she picked out 2 blue or lavender but when we got them home and gave them a shower the drake is blue and she is brown. Also noticed that the had frostbite damage to their feet and the drake was missing his outer nails one was bleeding so I guess they'll live in the tub for a few days to re coupe and hopefully realize were not big scary aliens.

they'll be spoiled in no time

Hey all i don`t own a mascovy duck as of yet hwever i was wondering is there a certain age you can tell the sex? I would like a female mascovy as a brooder and i also have a really antsy drake so thought a female around would be good. However the ducksi have now were rescue ducks and they dont have much affection or me i find. Really i just want a duck that will laos be my companion could i do that without having to get a mascovy from a duckling? Im just scared if i get an adult female my drake will stop her from becoming close with me.
