Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Thank you. Its really going to be hard to keep up with the pictures of one by one. There are 3 more hatching now. I grabbed each momma and tossed them in the fresh pool water. It is really hot today! The drake is really showing signs of aggression so im very worried about the ducklings.

TherryChicken, why would you even let your drake be in the same area as your ducklings if he is acting aggressive? The ducklings can't protect themselves and the mama's won't be able to protect them from an aggressive drake.

They are not in the same area as my drake. Like I mentioned before they are in a coop by themselfs. I was on baby watch while the mommas went for a dip. The drake can not get in with the babies unless someone lets him in and thats not going to happen. I'm saying, when its time for them to be let out. Im afraid of their lives because my drake gets so aggrevated by the mommas and chase them with his head down.

I'm thinking you may need to keep them separate for at least 3 weeks usually by then the ducklings can keep away from the drake. So these 2 ducks that are sitting are your only females? Drakes can really be pains in the butt, I have to put up a dog xpen to keep my one drake away from the broody's when they come outside to eat and bathe. I call it jail time.

No he has one other hen and she doesnt sit. And wow ok 2-3 weeks. Im actually trying to sell my one pekin hen and the drake. The muscovie hens are the only ones being mommas

Might be a good idea to sell this drake, I've never seen my drakes actually be aggressive to any of our ducklings we've had but I don't give them the chance either, once they are around 3 weeks old they are just part of the flock and pretty much ignored till mating age.
