One of the ducklings has a deformed leg. Gets around fine, but I cant keep it and idk who would want the poor thing. I dont want just anyone to take it.

Can you post a pic? might be able to help it some how. And why can't you keep a disabled duckling?

A little sleep and caffeine and I came to the same conclusion. So, I stuffed all the new eggs from my second pen under my girl who just decided that she was well and truly broody. It gives her 16 eggs to sit. Right now there's another female in the pen. Should I move her out or just make room for another nest so that she can lay eggs? Can you tell I am new at trying to hatch babies? I have always just collected the eggs because the scovies were running around with the rest of the critters.

Is she laying her eggs in the nest with the one who just went broody? I would give her her own space so she can lay.I would mark the 16 eggs you just put under your broody so if any new one show up you can take them out, you don't want your hatch to be so staggard that mama gets up and leaves ducklings that aren't ready to hatch yet and she will once the first ones hatch. I mark my eggs by # starting with 1 with a washable marker.

Thank you Miss Lydia ,just bought those 2 black muscovy hens. We now have 4 hens and 1 drake. 1st photo was taken from my fathers good friend where we bought the babies. . . Really love this forum very informative. Wish we have other colors of Muscovies in the Phil aside from white and black lol

Love those blacks but Nothing prettier than a solid white scovie too I have 2 of them and when they are clean they are stunning. Are yours pets/eggs/meat or all 3.

I wont have enough room. I can try and catch it later and get a picture. Its leg is crooked and stiff almost like as if the bone grew crooked. Maybe the hens didn't turn that one as much?

Mines are for pets and meat love them all specially the drake's , hissing sound. I noticed that my white scovies are dominant than the black ones
