Buck mine have large dog houses full of hay to rest in. I plan to buy a few more as I now have more ducks

Oooooo that's a good idea I have my girls right now in turned over trash cans , because thy just had to lay in them , at first they flew up in them to lay and couldn't get out so I finally just turned them over and let then have at it and there sitting on them finally !!!

Buck, lol nice, yeah I just have large plastic square like dog houses. On very hot days you can get water bottles and place them in on the sides under some hay to keep it cooler. Just not too close to where they lay. Or you can remove the lid and use it as a nest box as well!

Hey guys so I'm working on getting my little sister a baby chicken, only problem is that this chicken has to be able to fly to keep up with my ducks because my ducks fly everywhere but also needs to fly to escape predators , I've narrowed it down to the Phoenix , old English game bantams, and sumatras any way I can narrow this down?

I have 2 game bantams 1 rooster 1 hen and they are excellent flyers. and smart too. but please get at least 2 chickens so they can pal around together.

I was thinking about getting two but I don't think my grandmother will allow it because she has a natural fear of chickens because they attacked her when she was a little girl. If you ask me I think it's kinda ridiculous because she told me how she would go in their coop and collect eggs , well wouldn't you think that at some point the rooster would help defend the nest.

So truly I'm really working on getting at least one because I think that's all fell let me get , maybe she'll let me get a guinea to and it'll work out. But I doubt it
