which one the bad ones? Theyre already gone and nothing I could of done to save them. The new ones, you cant tell till later down the line unless you break them open. Then I have no eggs to put under her.

I got a new chocolate duckling. It was a lone baby and I have ducklings it's size, so it got to come here, yay for me. Hoping fora girl because i think i have 3 boys and 1 girl with my older 4.

And with my other group of babies, my little duckling is still pretty tiny. It was much smaller than the others when I got them at a few days old, and she said it hatched smaller. Will it stay small or catch up eventually? And any guesses on what colors they are, lol?

Okay trying to figure this out. I have a yellow chick who was fully yellow at hatch (she was one that almost didn't make it and then turned it around.) Now she has a very light brown highlight on her feathers. What color will she be. Also I don't know it's a she I am just hoping. What do you think?

So I have one duck on 17 eggs brooding on her own. This is only the second time she's been broody and the first time she was moved and gave up on the eggs. I didn't want her having so many eggs but everytime I took several out she would just wait until she'd laid that many again then we'd do it all over again. So I've given in and let her try.
Her two sisters are in the same coop as her (different nest) and they are 'sharing' 20ish eggs. Is this normal?
One will sit during the day and the other comes in at bedtime abd kicks her off. They have an odd relationship these two hens. The one who is sitting on the eggs at night has hatched one clutch and the daytime sitter was her bodyguard then. Made sure nobody went near her etc...
They also mount each other quite a lot in their pool.
I'm concerned neither of them will atay broody because they are sharing. Is this a possibility?
