Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Yes okay thanks can it be possible for them to all came from the same mom and dad.I know their mom ( atleast the one who hatched them)was black and white but we aren't certain if they were her eggs . Back story is I got them from a farm where everything is free range the ducks and chickens lay outside and make natural nest . So I have no idea who the parents really are.
If you look at the various pics of broods of ducklings oon here, you´ll find a huge variation in colour in just one family. It´s quite possible yours are bro and sis, but then again....who knows!

Where?  Try posting again..

You should try posting on the duck thread. I know Muscovy ducklings can be all over the place in looks. Even if they have the same parents. It's pretty crazy. Are Muscovy girl is absolutely beautiful and NOTHING like we thought she would look like. They are very surprising.

Thank you :) I love em a lot, they need to be handeled more tho, you can tell they went held at all untill i got em. I named the lighter one Cora and the darker one Severide (from Chicago fire)

Cute! We got are Muscovy at five days and both anconas at less then 24 hrs. They were all held a lot every day. Are anconas don't want to be held or pet at all. They freak out. Kristof is the only friendly one. It's sad, but they are ducks. Kristof is very sweet. I call Ana and Elsa (anconas) my little brats lol! No shock, my four year old named them

Weluvruckus, I think the color of the duckling asked about is wild type black. It will be black with a white forewing and some bronze colorshowing through. I am guessing that when hatched it was black with yellow face and breast and 4 or 6 yellow spots on the back and a black line from the eye to the back of the head.

Also if the hen the chocolate is from is black or black and white, all chocolate ducklings are female.

I´d guess the dark one to be male. It has stonking great legs and feet. Stance is wide. It has a heavy bill, the chest goes out a lot in front, it has a long tail end.
The lighter one I´m less sure, as in the first pick it seems to have quite a long tail-end like a male, but in the last pic it looks like a female in that it´s more rounded (shorter tail-end), daintier-looking. But the legs seem to be chunky also in this pic. Photos can be misleading, so.....

Have a look yourself, compare the legs, compare the shape of the body from the side. Females are more rounded. Males develop a large tail once it´s feathered, both in length and in width. Females are shorter, but as the feathers come in, they get feathers quicker, and the tail is more pointed than a male. See what you think about your two.....
