Muscovy keepers share your pics!

35 days is hatch day so maybe day 32 or 33
sorry i guess i could have phrased that better.....

I do not know what breed of eggs they are so my question is when should i lock them down. on day 25 or ???

if they are scovies what happens if i lock them down on day 25? that would be 5 days early with not turning
If they are NOT scovies should i stop turning on day 25?

my best advice to u would be candle them twice a day and as soon as you see one pipped then I would say lock them down

I like to raise the humidty and stop turning when they start pressing against the membrane, which is usually a day before internal pip.

Does this look like she is trying to make a nest?

I went out today and she was sitting on 2 out of the 5 the other 3 were suiting around the outside of her is this a problem, will she sit on them all when she is ready to sit after she has layed more eggs?

Ok here is Purtty again in better pictures. Hoping for a duck! I love this one so much!
I would say duck. Pretty girl! I wish my magpies were the leaders! They are older, but the muscovies set their ranking as highest and so they sit on the pond banks instead of swimming !
My scovies are chicken too. After being in their coop a month they have just in the past few days ventured the 40 feet or so to the pool, lol. And they stood at the gate and looked at the grass, but werent brave enough to go that far yet.
