Muscovy keepers share your pics!

@PoultryQueen101 the actual duck! He's a mess :) the man had other "black and white ducks" (he was meaning Muscovies) so Quacks could be all scovy or mixed. If you get any magpie/pekin/muscovy duckling post pictures!
I will, but its gonna be a while, when do muscovies begin to lay? And, if a muscovy sits on both (assuming purebred) magpie and muscovy eggs, will she leave the muscovy eggs once the magpie/mapie pekin cross eggs hatch?
Also, anyone know when magpies begin to lay? Ive heard pekins begin around 7 months, so like, 5 months to go... and the others are around the same age, possibly younger, but most likely older..

As to my first question, it probably wont be a problem with 3 muscovy hens, 1 magpie hen, and 1 pekin hen... though I know pekins rarely go broody.

Ok thanks the total is 7 eggs now, when do u think she will become full on broody , and the ones she has been sitting, on have they already begun incubation?

That depends if she´s really brooding or not. If she´s on-and-off, then she´s not started yet. Some will do this, it´s as if they´re warming up their eggs for a few days first. This isn´t incubation.
Once she starts, she should sit tight for most of the time, only coming off maybe twice a day to eat and bathe, then back to the nest, although they can spend half-an-hour or so away from the nest.
They´ll lay from 6 upwards...sometimes 20, depending on the duck. Most ducks do well first time, but some are a bit scatty.

Yeah I hope I do to, and I decided if I catch it in one of my traps that instead of either burning it to death or hanging it or whatever ( it think it was the anger talking) that I'm just goin to euthanize it like putting it to sleep, I can't relocate, like then it could always find it's way back. So you know yeah......
