While we're on the topic, what is the longest you should leave an internal pip for with no exteranl pip before intervention?
Also, three of my girls are on eggs and all started sitting at the same time. Two have started shadowing but the thirds still have tiny air sacs and appear less developed than the other twos eggs. Third hen is a first timer and has been very inconsistent. Always off the nest for several hours at a time etc throughout the whole incubation.
Because it's thier first hatch I will take alot of the eggs and incubate, leaving each hen to hatch and raise a manageable 3 each. Is there anything I can do to get the timing synchronized for hatch? So the third hens eggs can be incubated with the first twos?
