Actually they're not chocolate, there blue I have this wierd kind of blue muscovies that when there little they look slightly chcocolate but they will turn out lilac pastel blue, blue with chocolate accent feathers, or just plain blue

Ex.

Not weird at all, i get those here. Nice colours!

That's what are duckling Kristof looked like as a duckling! Now he looks compleatly different. I thought he would be chocolate, but he's this black/green color.

Those are black n whites again i get those here lol

I'll see if i can get anything to work.. most of my one clutch, we have blues... black and whites and this chocolate bluey combo lol Mama is a blue with brown and daddy is a black and white homozygous brown.




There are 2 drakes which are both black and whites and 5 ducks in this clutch... we were missing 1 little lady in this shot lol

I'll see now if i can add mama and the clutch as wee ones.. browns aka chocolates are pretty distinct, i have a lot of them here in my flock.. i am very heavily chocolate here.



I'll see if i can post a better pic of mama to show her brown.. sorta lol

I have to read that link. That's exactly what Kristof looked like as a baby

I couldn´t help wondering if the gypsy colouring is like the original, like your drake with that beautiful red and black 'beading'. And I quite agree, a lot of those drakes are totally and thoroughly ugly. Hideous is a great word for them! Stunning. Ridiculous (to my mind anyway) . Looks like it´s diseased. Beautifully coloured pair, though.

I hope my blue boy keeps his black and red caruncles. I prefer it. If one of my drakes got so bad as that show one I think I'd be# forced to eat it.

They are really lovely.
Mine are heavily black-and-white pieds or barred. And I love the chocolates which I don´t have, and the blues are just so gorgeous... I only have one bluish barred, would love more.
