Since I do not have SQ Muscovies, ( although my white duck might stand a chance at an exhibition) I will provide you with a link from the web: http://images1.dhd.de/82504882.jpg . This picture merely shows the face, but I think this is the most interesting part for the moment anyways![]()
Here in Germany, it really depends on the breed and whether extremes are desired or not. Sadly, there are breeders who like balloon croppers or crested ducks with large crests or homozygous silky barbary doves or other breeds with traits that cause suffering.
One of the 6 ducklings was limping badly. I caught it and found that a snapping turtle must have got ahold of the little foot for one whole toe was bitten off! Poor little one, I had to trim off some bad skin and let him back with his mom. He is doing better, not limping as much. I call him/her Footsie. LOL

I hope my blue boy keeps his black and red caruncles. I prefer it. If one of my drakes got so bad as that show one I think I'd be# forced to eat it.
They are really lovely.
Mine are heavily black-and-white pieds or barred. And I love the chocolates which I don´t have, and the blues are just so gorgeous... I only have one bluish barred, would love more.
The blue with chocolate are fawn. I had them in my last hatch and this hatch from the same parents. In my hatches they will be female since both parents are blue.
Hmm, i need to get the pic of her alone so my brown with blue is a fawn? neat stuff, she's my very first ever like this a bit of a mystery for awhile what direction she was going to take, i find the colours hard to get a handle on.
So that's a drake, hmm that is very minimal for fleshing.
