Lol, no... They are much more difficult and prone to getting blackhead (histomoniasis).

Hmm 1 of the ducklings is acting light its trying to choke something down, like something is stuck in its throat. Been acting like that starting today. However I checked in its mouth and saw nothing.

I'm hoping this works as I'm new to the site. We have 2 babies we brought home from our 4th fair. They r house ducks and r about 12 weeks old now. We thought they were Pekin but now not so sure. Could they be a cross? The flesh around the beaks make me think Muskovy. Beaks r flesh colored. Both have some black on heads and beautiful blue eyes. Any thoughts?

Absolutely beautiful. Definitely muscovy bill, but the orange around her face isn´t muscovy, as you know they are more red, so maybe she´s a cross, then, or simply a very young muscovy....Stunning duck. Just looking at it, the top one just looks muscovy to me. Except for that bit around her bill....

The down´sides of keeping poultry.... my ducks often go into my neighbour´s place, as he has ducks, and his dogs ptretty well leave them alone. Last weekend my hubby noticed a dead duck in my neighbour´s field. this was a few days after I saw a dog (belongs to a distant neighbour) chasing one of mine, but the owner called it back and I figured the duck came back home.
