I love these so much! Harvard, Hazel and. Harriet.
they're cute. Love their names.

Here are a few of mine:

These were taken only last week...I am amazed how much more snow is on the ground now! More like Christmas than Thanksgiving for sure! Have a great day! TerriO
They are beautiful !! we had snow for Thanksgiving too. wonder what winter has in store?? lol

I took a few more pics today when I was out there. I tried to pick my favorites! (it was really hard)

THis is a kinda blue one that showed up...I have only ever had 2 blue ducks in 26 years of having ducks! THe genes must still be in there somewhere.

Tis is my ultra fave barred teenager!

THis is the project for next year...if I take this female and mate her with one of the males below I am hoping to make ringed neck muscovies in chocolate...is this even possible?

Miss Lydia--I dont know what winter has in store, but if this is any indication we might be in for it again! I am hoping becasue it got cold and snowy so early that spring will come by March first...Yup, that's what I am going with!

Hey guys, great news, Mallard( the duck with the mass) is getting a whole bunch better, Ive been putting her outside for a couple of hours a day in a puppy pen you know the little gates that make a circle and don't have a top , and she loves being outside. I think he mass is depleting and on tuesday she's going back to the vet so fingers crossed.

Also on monday for my zoology class at school I'm bringing some of my ducks since we are learning about birds my teacher wanted me to bring some ducks so of course I said yes :) lets cross our fingers that they don't poop a lot

they are so cute. Love it when they get puffy and round.

i don't think its possible to have a ring necked muscovy

sorry, i think if you try you can get something that look like it will have a ring neck but probably want keep it, see muscovies patterns and even there colors can change, not like to a whole other color, but turn different shades, and can molt out white feathers and black could come in or molt out black and white comes in :( they constantly change with every year :( its not like ' oh this bird is changing to a whole different bird' the changes are slight but over a long time might can change completely like a pied bird molts and has more pied coloring but then the next molt has more black than white. Do you see what i mean?

You might be able to breed muscovies with white patches that resemble the desired neck ring, but the typical white ring of the mallard drake is not in the arsenal of muscovy colour patterns.

And, as Buck Oakes stated, the plumage of a muscovy can be subject to change with every molt.

my drake for example started like this:

Now I would not recognize him, hadn't I witnessed his molt:
