No, but they are in electric fencing, which is pretty hot (8000 volts) but what I think happened was she flew over the fence, and a Fox or coon grabbed her. That's how I lost my three chickens.

Mine usually start this time of year. Haven't gotten any since they started molting. It hasn't gotten below freezing yet. Normally won't until late January or February.

Okay help! I'm probably overreacting, but I'm wondering when my duck will start sitting on her eggs. She shares a nest with my other duck, and they have a total of 15.

I should leave it to the ducks to be able to hatch them right? (Sorry it's obviously the first time my ducks laid eggs)

If a Muscovy then it's all about timing, but if a first time layer they might not start brooding till next year if under 6 -7 months old.I've never known a Scovy that didn't want to brood, it's just on their timing not ours, leave the eggs and when she begins to sit 24/7 candle around day 7, you'll see development by then, you can toss out eggs that haven't started. You should always mark the eggs I use a washable marker that way you can keep up with old and newer eggs.

She might not ever.

If she's sharing a nest I'd split them up we had two ducks share a nest earlier this year and they only hatched two out of like ten eggs

My ducks eggs hiding place when it rains the eggs can get wet, will they still be able to sit on them and hatch them if I leave some there?, only one of the duck lays in the duck pen, all the others lay outside and I cant tell the Pekin and Muscovy eggs apart.
