I would leave them under your hen since they will be farther along in incubation than these. Your hen will accept the ducklings as her own.


I second miss Lydia. Leave them under the hen bcos the first 3 eggs probably a way ahead in the development stage seven eggs is enough for her to hatch.
 
I really hate waiting for muscovy to hatch.... I had written down that they were to hatch on Sunday.... and yes, we are 2 days past, and yes, I know that doesn't mean much with ducks, etc. etc.

It is just that 5 weeks is one horridly long wait!

Lol I know exactly what you mean :)
 
I'm not sure if my duck is actually laying on her eggs yet or if she's just protecting the nest from the kids.

I have two hens that have been broody for a few weeks. But I think she's either still deciding or trying to figure out how to fit in the box, which is the smallest one I have for my birds. I'm going to have to build her a bigger box for next time.
