A few years ago I had some that were squeezing underneath the fence of their pen. I had to put bricks around the bottom to keep them in. So I suppose it's possible.I have a weird nesting question. How small of a space can a scovy hen fit through? I have 3 hens and 1 drake. They were 10-12 weeks old when I got them in October, making them about 9 months old. Mating season is definitely upon us, but I haven't found a single egg from any of them yet. However, I noticed yesterday that it looks like something might be squeezing under the addition of our house. The gap under the boards is only about 3" and it just looks way too small. I don't know where else they could be hiding the eggs though. We are preparing to move to a new farm and so everyone is in a fenced area with no other hiding spaces. Thanks for the advice!
