Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Understandable...but these girls usually know what they're doing. I just keep mine in a secure area - with their own shelter - away from the rest of the flock until their babies are ready to start foraging with Mom. It's so neat to watch the ducks show their little ones the ropes!

It looks like someone is broody in the duck coop...I went to collect the eggs this morning and they were warm. That, in itself, wouldn't have necessarily meant "broody", but I saw a duck watching from outside and peeping in a concerned way. She immediately went into the coop after I left and sat on the nest where the eggs had been (she must just have left to eat breakfast and get a drink). Poor girl - I always feel a little bad taking away the eggs when they clearly want to hatch them, but I just filled up my incubator. Now she thinks I'm an egg thief.

But Neptune actually went down to creek and hung out with the rest of the flock. Weird. He got harassed by my sassy call? ducks. They are always causing problems.

I feel HORRIBLE taking their eggs when they are watching and I still feel bad when they are not.

I got these 4 birds a few days ago. Can anyone tell me are they mules? When I held them, they kind of quacked like my welsh harlequin duck. The person sold them to me said they are pure Muscovy and about 1 year old. Thanks. For 1 year old birds, they don't have much caruncles

@hhong3138 They are gorgeous young scovy females you did good.

My scovy females will let out a quack once in a while if scared.
