Muscovy keepers share your pics!

The warm before the storm.... well it was 35 degrees which is the warmest we've seen in a while.

Anyone getting fertile eggs? I'd love to get a few...I like every color basically but want a variety. I'd prefer ones without red masks if possible (the little ones are fine but I don't like the huge bumpy ones as much)

I don't need a ton of eggs but I also can't pay a lot. Thank you everyone!!

the only musocvies without red masks are wild and have black masks - its kind of the trademark of the scovie.

I'd love to keep more than the 7 I have.... and the black barred drake is still up for sale. BUT, I just don't have the room to overwinter anymore. I could squeeeeeeze in a few more but then on winter days they have to stay in they'd probably be more stressed. My Scovies seem to need a lot more "personal space" than some other critters so I've noticed.

duckncover, Most Scovies are going to have the red or combined red/black caruncles (mask.) I believe spectrumranch has some "wild types" that carry only black caruncles. That is one of the defining characteristics of Muscovies.

I didn't mean without them completely but not the huge ones...I see a ton of pictures of ones that have little things instead of huge ones that cover the whole head.

Yes we have Wild Muscovies, they do have a dark face with only a little red. When I saw your pics keeperof the hearth--- I am thinking your muscovies have some recent wild muscovy genetics bred into the line.

Here are some of our Wild Muscovy:

Wild Muscovies- have a white wing shoulder, which they do not get until they are over a year old.
