Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I think I told you about the buff Muscovies. There was an add in backyard poultry magazine. I can not remember the name of the farm right now. I will have to look it up.

Well, it's been awhile. I know we probably all are getting ducklings hatching out now....so......here are a few random pic's of babies.

Ok so I have a question. I have had my Scovies for almost a year, all three of my girls are nesting. One is sitting on 16 eggs, another on 13, and another on 10. My question is, about what percentage of these eggs do you all think will hatch. Oh this is their first clutch each.

I also noticed that my girls have been pushing some eggs out of the nest, I just figured that they were bad but left them alone anyway. Should I throw these eggs out?

Yes, it's called caruncling and an enormous amount of it is considered quite attractive in drakes.

Like are they lovable? Like not flighty?

If they were hand raised or were handled quite a bit since they were babies they are usually pretty friendly. i have owned some flighty ones but they also were not hand raised like most of mine. I can usually walk into the coop and pet most of my Muscovies, even my drake.
