Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Here are mine!

I currently have 37 young birds and 5 adults. All the babies are from my adults this year. Most of those babies are from two recent clutches totalling 27. All the babies but 16 are sold, however. I also have one hen setting a nest (and 8 of the 16 babies are hers from earlier!) of 12 due 8/6, and I found a duck egg out of my blue hen yesterday... (2 of the current 16 babies are hers from earlier this year). I planned on at LEAST doubling my number of hens this year, looks like things are working out swell, both with duckling sales, meat birds, and keepers! Sorry for some of the pics being poor quality - Most were taken with my cell phone.

Without further ado:

Blanche x Maverick ducklings, hatched 6/3. Chocolate is female I believe. If female, her name is Fiona. Haven't named the black one yet, but I believe it's male.

Gretchen x Maverick ducklings, hatched 5/7. Two blue pied drakes, a color crested white drake, a 'wild type' black pied drake, two lilac pied hens, two color crested hens. I'm keeping the hens for sure. The lilac hens are Joanie (in first and second pic), and Acacia (third pic). The color crested whites are Hesperia and Willow. In the background of the second pic you can also see Maverick and Blanche on one of their 'dates'.

Celeste with the 27 ducklings. Celeste is a chocolate crested white, she hatched about half of those ducklings. The other half were hatched by my hen Constance, but Celeste stole them.

Maverick, Clara, and Celeste. Celeste is behind Clara, a pied lilac. Clara was eaten by our neighbors dog this spring... GRRR! Anywho, Maverick was attempting to fight his reflection in the window there.

This past Tuesday we put these two outside since they were just getting so big in the brooder and it is nice and warm here. Well on Wednesday my neighbors dog got my chocolate scovie, so all we had was the white left. HE/she was so sad adn chirping all over the place for her friend. So we went back to the lady we got them from and asked if we could get one more. We ended up bringing home 2.

Here they all are now (taken 7/7). The lady said one was 1 week old and the other was 3 weeks old but I am guessing more about 2 weeks old. My white one is now 3 weeks old and is huge compared to the others.
White one is so happy to have a friend again

Very Cute! The Yellow one has a grey bill so is a barred. I can't make out the color on the end of the tail so it's going to be very light whatever color poss. Chocolate. The last little one looks "blue". Congrats on the new additions!!!!

The last pic, newchickmom09, is a blue. I have a duck that looked exactly the same when he was younger.

Here is a picture of him, btw his name is popeye because he is blind in his left eye:

he is the duckling on the left, the center one turned out the wild muscovy color, and the yellow one is now pure white

this is their most recent pic, popeye is on the right:

I have 7 muscovys so far. 4 drakes and 3 hens. The first four were shipped eggs I got from ebay.

This picture is of Big Brother (right), who was the first duckling to hatch a few days before the rest, and no name,
both drakes:

They are so pretty! I love the blue.

I have to say that my favorite is the younger black one. He is my little baby.
