I just reduced my flock down to my keepers, TOO many babies this year, and still have 3 girls on nests!

This is one of my most favorite girls in the bunch of "babies" I kept. Such a lovely deep Blue

And this here is the monster boy my mother is keeping(along with a Chocolate Pied girl)....

That's a full grown hen behind him!! and he's not even fully feathered yet!!

He's gonna look just like his daddy

Wow seeing all these great pics of beautiful Scovies makes me really want some! If only my dad would let me get some

I for the most part pay for everything and take care of all my animals myself but he still has the final say on weather or not I can have something (he is the parent after all

) he says they are ugly, too big, and he heard the drakes can be really mean, plus he thinks that if some would escape to our wetlands they may take over and harm the wild water foul species.

So no Scovies for me, he just tells me that if I ever really get the itch to get some Scovies to go out and splurge on call ducks instead, he really loves those lil ducks, of course so do I!
