She is just a sun bleached black hen. Here is a pic of her earlier this year when she was less sun bleached.

that's cool, it really looks bronze after bleaching.

I raise White Muscovies and wanted to add some colored ones so My daughter and I picked out a pair of colored Ducklings they are really sweet The male is a Blue Bibbed he has yellow feet it looks like he is wearing flippers

and I have no idea what to call the girl's color any ideas? she is Chocolate with Bronze and looks like she could be rippled is that what I should call her?
Sorry the background is gross we got some much needed rain and you all know what that does to a duck pen!

hi, there all blue, that barring happens with mine then moults out. in my birds it indicates it carrying the bronze gene. not sure in the rippling we dont have it here.

Hi, I'm new here and new to muscovies. Love them so far!! They're so sweet and tame compared with other duck breeds I've raised. My brood are about 7 weeks old and I think I've wound up with 1 female and 4 males. Now to decide which to keep, and which to eat... The photos below are from about 6 weeks old. I'm curious about how their coloring will turn out. One seems to blue and white barred, two look black barred and the fourth is turning out grey/chocolate. The female looks blue and white pied with a black head. Any clues on what these guys might look like as they grow up? First pic includes some runner ducklings.

i'd say they are all blacks and blues, again i'd expect the red barring in the chest to moult out.

Sorry the heat has been running me ragged. She hatched 11 ducklings and there were no eggs left in the nest

the parents are pure white so every one is the same bright yellow with big eyes they are so dag-gone cute. I just took some pics they are growing fast they are a little dirty from playing in paddles this morning after the rain

Soo excited! Ellie has gone broody AGAIN! This is the second time in two months...her first time consisted of 16 eggs, which of only 4 were fertile...about a week before they were suppose to hatch she up and left the nest We broke those eggs open and there were 4 fully developed little black and white babies This time she has a nest of 13...candled tonight and 12 out of those 13 are fertile and developing well! Eliza is sitting on a nest of 19, 8 of her eggs are fertile, developing and all alive! Out of those 19, 3 of them are chicken eggs...2 are def fertile and can't tell with the other. She should hatch out in a couple of weeks if that! Eggs are VERY full with not much room left!

Wow.. Finally caught up after having computer trouble for about a month. I cant seem to get good pics of just Apollo, my lone Scovy because hes very attached to his unidentified girlfriends. So please excuse the girls in the background lol


He has beautiful barring on his chest but wont ever turn around to let me take a pic.

When he was little, he had spots but now hes solid black. Well except for the iridescent green and purple on his wings

i really like his colour, the tips of his wings are darker than and more purple than my silvers, so if i had to guess from this shot i'd say he's lav. we need some lav owners to say for sure!
