I'm still stumped on this duck, she is 16 weeks and was all yellow except for a smidge of blk on her tail when hatched what color?
Black barred.

Barred ducklings hatch out all yellow except for a small color bar on their tails. The color of the bar is the color of the duck. They also generally have grey bills as ducklings. Looks like she may be black barred-pied-whitehead. If so..... she will dazzle you as she molts out each year.

My Charlotte was one and my theory is ..... the whitehead + pied = stronger adult barring. My Charlotte lost most her barring with her first "adult" molt but as she aged each molt after increased her visual barring. Sadly she was lost to a predator when she was about 3yrs old. Hopefully, you will have your girl for many yrs and can document her color/pattern changes.
