Muscovy keepers share your pics!

We have missed you both, hope all is well besides the molting. Daisy will be beautiful when finished. [Shes changing so much] isn't it amazing.

Ho! i was staring to worry, glad everything is ok >.<

I'm sorry we've been distant lately. I usually get on at work & the work computers needed to be updated plus they moved my office so if it wasn't one thing it was another, hehe!

Now I'm dealing with my grandpa having a stroke so we'll see when I can be regularly on again.
I hope you all are doing well! Beautiful 'scovies as always! SQUEEE!

DO all Muscovy's get the patch of red skin (carnuncles ),and can they live with geese
I have 2 geese and 13 Muscovy's, and they live together, they don't sleep together though, my gander would not like to sleep along side a duck. but they all get along for the most part, and yes Muscovy's get the red carnucles the drakes more than the ducks.

Beautiful pictures of soo many scovies!

i wanted to share our 4.. We decided this spring it was time for some chickens. Well, my parents (i care for them full time) wanted geese, and my youngest daughter (20) wanted ducks.
Here they are coming home in an insulated minnow bucket on 5/22/12. We were told they were 2-3 days old.

here they are in late July

Just taking a break from spreading the pine chips in the enclosed run area. They were quite helpful!
Clockwise from the top, our 3 girls...Squawk, Donald, and Huey and lastly Stanley, our only drake. Daughter was told they were all boys
lau.gif
i am so relieved they aren't!

More pics in a day or so, time to update! Stanley is easily 10 + pounds, and HUGE compared to our girls, they all are developing caruncles, but Stanley's is much more pronounced. They are a little shy with strangers till the food comes out. Any comments on colors, etc are welcome! You guys are so awesome, know a few of you from other threads

I have had Scovies for over 8 years and still don't do colors well. Looks like you have a chocolate, blk barred, chocolate barred and blk and white, very beautiful too. See I told you I am not good with colors. Boy you did awesome in getting ducks/ drake ratio. Did you get geese too?

I have a question! I have only ever owned 2 females but a few years back when one of my females started laying you could hear a weird almost like grinding noise coming from her is that normal? I have always wondered

Hello everyone we're new to muscovies but love our ducks, we currently have 10 different breeds of ducks and i always said "their so ugly" when it came to covies...but then i was offered a muscovy drake how had lost it's mate and that was it i instantly changed my opinion of them. I would love to find some muscovy hatching eggs or someone in my area with some muscovy hens.....so with further a do.......this is "Spike"
