Hi everyone, hoping maybe someone could help. One of our female muscovies wasn't able to put any weight on her legs, starting with one leg 4 weeks ago, by the end of the day both legs couldnt hold her up. We brought her inside checked her out, no sign of anything wrong with her feet/legs. Filled the tub up and used her feet to swim once there was no weight on it. Kept her confined inside for about 4 days, ate fine, drank fine, pooped fine, gained her stength back, with a slight limp we put her back out with the other ducks, after a couple more days she is 100%. Then 3 weeks later same thing happens again, she is just now getting better again. She acts fine, eats drinks, poops, tries to move. She is even laying eggs, although one was very disformed, the top and bottom were kinda flat-if that makes sence......any ideas, the other ducks are all fine too. Nothing has moved around in their pen, and they are locked up at night time so nothing can bother them. Thanks any info would be helpful at this point.

Are there any drakes? They can injure, even kill ducks mating them.

She may also have oviduct problems - some vets can be helpful, at least diagnosing.

Sometimes a duck isn't absorbing enough calcium, and watching her diet, giving her supplements including calcium and maybe vitamin D3 can help.

No drakes in with them, all ducks and they all get along great. We were starting to think its her diet, just thought it was strange that it was just her and not the others. She has always been picky compared to the others, she came from a different farm, but has always ate their pellet food really well. Today is day 4 after her starting to loose use of them, and she is already using them again, after a couple days of being kept confined in a 3x3ft area. when they were all out in the main yard she still tried to follow the others she would just stop and lay for a couple minutes then carry on so she still isn't doing great, I've got oyster shells but they didn't seem to like them. Any other suggestions. Thank you.
