It’s definitely not a peep but not a huff. I can’t upload on YouTube because I don’t have an account. Also, yes I do have a male Muscovy.Like a huff or just a peep? Could you maybe take a video and upload to you tube or something similar?

Yes, but he’s a wood duck and not a Muscovy!Does it have any siblings (hatch mates) that are the same age?
Ok. I really haven’t paid attention to his tail. The top pic where it is on the fence looks male, but it could be the way it's sitting that is making the legs look thicker. The body looks long to me - which indicates male. Is the tail more of a v shape or rounded?
However, my males had more caruncle growth at that age. But, I've been told mine have a lot compared to others.
Ok!! So does it look more like a female?!?Feral muscovy ducks must be different than domestic ones! At 16 weeks, there is no way a male feral one would look like that. Their legs are much longer than a female's legs and they are much bigger. Plus, they have obvious caruncles around their eyes. If she makes cute sounds, as opposed to huffing and puffing, that's a girl.
By the way, do you actually have a blue wood duck???
At 4 months there isn't as much of a difference, but give it another couple of months and it's super obvious. I can definitely distinguish better in person at that age. I know that rearing birds in different set ups attributes to different rates of growth, so there would be an expected difference between domestic and wild muscovy. Muscovy grow much slower than their mallard cousins.Feral muscovy ducks must be different than domestic ones! At 16 weeks, there is no way a male feral one would look like that.
