I have several young birds hatched already, but my scovies are going crazy brooding right now
some hatched today and some just went broody today

I read that they are late season layers

but is it too late in the year to let them go broody? will it be too cold in a month when the babies hatch
or trust them and let them do their thing?

I also have one that just went broody in the last few days. she made a nest under the coop in the dirt & old bedding. I think that will really help keep in the warmth but I know this girl is a GREAT broody so I am not too worried.
