Butter pranced around. Being so big made it hard to fit in. He whinnied to see if there was any loner mares around.

"Whatever you do, don't come over the hill!" Monsoon called out. This whole thing with Caleb and Wildfire and the new mares was a mess. Another mare would just add to it.

"Thank you." Wildfire's vanity was on overdrive, and he glanced at himself. Despite being bleached by the sun, his coat was still a rich shiny brown. He nickered at Lakie. "You're rather beautiful, yourself. I'm Wildfire, and your name is?"

"I'm Lakie!"

(she's talking to Peanut)

"You do?" Wildfire's eyes lit up. His showing-off was apparently still working. He gave Lakie a once-over and added, "I like you, too."

(Okay) Peanut snorted.

Jake didn't wait for her to change her mind. He rounded mounted her,then mated with Beauty. he dismounted and nickered. The last thirty minuites had just made his injury feel a lot better.
