Tempest tenderly licked at Jake's wound. The taste of blood made her eyes water; it was disgusting! Still, she kept licking until his wounds were cleaned. Standing between her and Jake, Tornado watched, squeaking curiously.

Typhoon swished her tail angrily and came trotting back to Caleb. "She's mad at you, so she's taking it out on me."

Monsoon was staring at the stud and her twin, her eyes cold. She wondered if there was to be a fight over who was going to be lead mare.

Jake gave a raised his head and grunted in pain,but he let Tempest lick him. He started to feel a little better.

Caleb flicked his ears guiltily. "I'm sorry. She ought to be biting me. I've been a bachelor for a while,I didn't know how to act around mares."

Wildfire, with triumph shining in his eyes, approached Sarah from behind. As he mounted her, he shot Caleb a taunting glare.

Ignoring the irritating foal, she asked, "Are you alright, Jake? That...what you did was a little extreme, even for a stallion."

"I think she wants to; she's just afraid," Typhoon said.

Marisa traveled with her lifelong friend,Miley. They had met up with two horses by the names of Dessie and Casey. She stopped and smelled. Stallions. That was just what they were looking for! She ran towards the smnell.

Caleb smiled at that. "That makes me very happy,for more than one reason..." he said wolfishly,trying to tease Typhoon. Then he sighed. "I just wish I didn't have to force Monsoon,I still feel guilty."
