Mutant chicks or was I lied to? *updated with pics in post 9*

Yea, the older ones are probably more like 10 weeks, and the younger ones are more like 4 weeks. Plus.... the genders as I see
1st picture. (the big chicken) That's a rooster
2nd. The big ones I see are girls
3rd. Same as 2nd
4th. girl
5th boy
6th girl
7th. (red comb)--> boy (other one)---> girl
8th boy
9th boy

The only one that could be a girl is the lightest colored one. The rest have all crowed already.

You were not lied to, they are the correct size. My 7/8 week old chicks are the same size as yours.

I have found (and it is not always the way) that for me, when the PULLETS comb get really red and she starts to turn red in the face, that they will usually lay within 2 weeks......like i said has worked for me, but just watch and see

I think the bigger birds are much older, and the one with the largest comb may be close to 15 weeks. The younger ones look about 7 weeks to me, though it's hard to see them very well in the tractor.

On your son's hand they look 4-5ish.

Just my opinion, at a glance.

The general consensus so far is that the younger ones are 4 weeks and the older ones are around 10 weeks, maybe a bit older, so I think I'm going to go by that.

Thank you all for your opinions and help!! I really appreciate it!
