"Mutt" Eggs Wanted

MagsC If you want to come pick some eggs from me up i can give you what i get that day free. Usually 4 to 6 eggs a day. Bantam mixes. That way you dont have to pay for shipping and they dont get scrambled by the PO

I would LOVE to be able to pick up some eggs. It might make for an interesting experiment between shipped and non-shipped? I am getting some Delaware and Dominique eggs from a friend of mine in the spring, so will probably repeat this experiment a couple of times.

If you see any of those signs on the side of the road that say somthing like this "Fresh Eggs $2.00" just buy some of them and put them in the bator. It's pretty cheap and who knows what you would get.

I bought some like that back in August and got only 1 to hatch. I have only been getting about a 20% hatch rate from my bator. I need to get a fan put in there and an automatic turner and maybe things will get better for hatching.

You see those kind of signs occasionally around here. Might be worth a try! I would be happy even if I got just one.

I have a still air LG that I really should get a fan and turner for as well. Though my Lyons incubator is a little better.

I have a still air LG as well. Well it used to be still air! I got a pc fan off eBay for $4 shipped, and it has made a world of difference! The turner is not really necessary, it just makes it easier! I could do without, but I have too much to do. I kept forgetting to turn them, or forgetting if I had turned them, so I just got the turner so I would stop worrying about it.

I figure if I miss once in a while, its not an exact science...
