Mutt Thread

I am SO glad someone started a mutt thread. They may not be recognized by any judges, but they are unique and beautiful! There SHOULD be more recognition for mutts. after all, if you take two good looking 'purebreds' and throw them together, surely you have an even better bird?

Below are my mutts which I adore. I have another 11 in the brooder!

I'll have to find pics of my mutt chicken, Olga, to upload. Her mother was a pretty gold EE, and her father was a very pretty and docile American gamefowl roo. She has a split personality... she WANTS to be all warm and fuzzy like her EE flocksisters, but the gamefowl in her runs off like a roadrunner. She's HILARIOUS. Her behavior's getting a little testy lately & we realized she's almost 22 weeks... getting close to laying age, though it's hard to say with such a mix. I'm hoping she lays a creamy yellowish/tan egg. She's kinda small, has a head/face like an EE, body like an American game, looks like 2 different chickens photoshopped together.

I love mutts they are unique and ten X better than pure breds. There should be a mutt showing.

This is my only muut ( the only egg I have hatched successfuly) I am told it is a boy, but I hope it turns out to be a she so I can keep it ( already have 2 roos in my BYC flock)

I was told my baby Pingu (the most awesome roo In the world) was a mutt...

I thought no one else would see him as beautiful but then you guys came along and now he can be seen!!!

Here he is....

And another but with his girlfriend ( my sister is convinced the White one Mellow is a Houdan!!)

The moderators moved the other mutt thread to pictures and stories of my chickens. There is already another mutt thread that hasn't been moved on here. Seems the moderators will not move them anymore. They are not a Breed and u can't show them.
